Aryn Jewett Sallee

I have been moving around the country a bit - Kentucky, Texas, New Mexico, Indiana, Florida - changed my name in effort to change me but - wherever you go there you are. I've obtained an M.Ed. in counseling and have functioned as a therapist and psychologist. Now I'm back in the Northwest, working in Washington county doing the same job I started right out of college. I still love music, speaking spanish and math. I've added biblical research to my list of activities. My husband Jerry and I were part of a non-profit to take handicapped individuals fishing and hunting. We love the outdoors and haven't bought beef for a long time - elk and deer in the freezer. We are also old Datsun enthusiasts, restoring a 1959 Datsun 1000.
Jerry has added fun to my life - I am now an autocross enthusiast and have started being Betsy Ross to his Uncle Sam.
In 2008 Jerry was diagnosed with Polycythemia Vera, a chronic bone marrow cancer which has reduced his activity level. I retired in 2013 and he retired on disability in 2017. We have been remodeling our home in order to have a guest room with its own bath to serve as a test and recuperate sanctuary for friends who need it. At some time it will be occupied by Jerry’s Mom, but she still wants her independence!
I was ordained in 2018 by Christian Family Fellowship and serve on the Padtoral Care team, My continuing goal is to become like Jesus and show God’s love to all!

I was not in the popular crowd, or any crowd that I can think of. I mostly felt like I was on the outside off a pane of glass looking at others having fun. I wrote a poem about my loneliness for Mrs. Sullivan’s English class, got an A. I still struggle with relationships, but God has blessed me with an awesome husband!

I suppose my most memorable school story was hearing my school counselor tell me I wasn’t college material, to think about going to a trade school and then getting called to the principles office to be notified I had scored in the top 3% on the National Merit Scholarship test! Shocked everybody!
