Because I grew up 1 block south of TV Highway I ended up graduating from
Beaverton High School in 1961.
Graduated from Western Business University 1966
Married October 26, 1968
AA Business from Portland Community College AA 1976
BS Management from Marylhurst University 1977
Worked as A Computer Operator, Computer Programmer, Systems Analyst,
Systems and Programming Manager.
In addition to my day job, For 10 years I also taught night computer courses for Portland Community College, Linfield College and Computer Career Institute.
For the past 26 years I have been a member of the One More time Around Marching Band and the Beat Goes on Marching Band. (Trombone).
My Wife and I also travel extensively and just got back from Belize and Guatemala where I climbed the pyramids in Tikal.
My Wife and I visited Greece, the Greek Islands and Turkey in March 2014,
followed by a trip with the Beat Goes On Marching Band to Shanghai and Beijing China in September 2014. In March of 2018 my wife and I cruised from Puerto Rico to Portugo, Africa and Spain. Later this year we are scheduled for a European river cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest with our daughter and her husband. As of 2021 my wife and I had completed the European river cruise with our daughter and son in law. After returning, My wife and I promptly went on a winter cruise to Norway and the Arctic circle where I froze my buns off. We were lucky to return before the pandemic hit Europe big time. They were closing the airports when we left, but we got home safe and sound.

School Story:

My time at Beaverton High School was very difficult. I was overly hyperactive and couldn’t or wouldn’t spend time on my studies. When Sunset split with Beaverton our sophomore year, most of my grade school friends went to Sunset which was a problem. Somehow I managed to graduate.....barely....(Grin). Two weeks after high school graduation, I asked my mother to drive me into Hillsboro. When she asked why, I told here “I joined the Navy and I leave today”. I never did tell my father. It took 4 years in the Navy for me to grow up and about 40 years for my parents to forgive me. As of 2021 I have been married 52 years and have a 50 year old daughter who now watches over her mother and me like a mother hen.
I consider myself extremely lucky.
