Jann Warner (Girt-Wittmayer)

This is a tribute to my wonderful husband, father of our children,  friend and soul mate Dick Girt.  He followed his dreams and gave his all to his family and friends.  His spiritual leadership in all he did is widely appreciated by all who benefited from his wisdom.

Dick and I  were blessed by 48 years of a very special relationship.  His legacy to his family will long be remembered.

With love from Jann

Wes and I remained friends with Jann and Dick Girt since High School and we were very saddened to hear of his death last December 3rd.  We were not able to see each other often enough, but did visit many times over the years; we just had lunch with them last summer in Bend.  Dick always had a lot of interesting things going on from his businesses, hunting, fishing, church work, etc., and especially enjoyed his family.  His Christian faith was strong and evident, and we will miss him.

I will miss our Lunches in Redmond. Especially the fishing & hunting stories. You will be missed by all & especially your family.

Dick was one of the nicer guys in our class.

He lived in the Bend area (where I live) and I didn't even know it until shortly before he passed away. He was very loyal and a great parent. I sat with him at his son's track meet and you could tell how proud he was. I'm sure his son was proud of him too.

This was a tragic loss. I wish Jan the best.
